LURIE MEDTECH WEEK

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, in strategic partnership with Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, Lurie's Innovate2Impact Program and The Consortium for Technology & Innovation in Pediatrics (CTIP), present Lurie Medtech Week, August 11-15, 2025.

The initiative brings together stakeholders in the pediatric innovation ecosystem through Academic Affairs & Research, Division of Emergency Medicine, Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute, the Department of Surgery and Northwestern University.

Lurie Medtech Week demonstrates a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration addressing complex challenges in pediatric innovation, research, and healthcare. Presentations and panels showcase cutting-edge technologies and treatments specifically designed for pediatric populations.

11:00am - 12:00pm: Clinical Trials at Lurie with distinguished panelists Justin Ryder, PhD, Ashley Hoambrecker, and Grzegorz Zapotoczny, PhD will provide comprehensive insights into the researcher perspective, share the strategic structure and operational functions of the Office of Clinical and Community Trials (OCCT), outline specialized support services delivered through the Medical Device Trials Unit (MDCTU), and share critical challenges alongside proven success stories in clinical trial execution.

Weese-Mayer, MD, Chief of Center for Autonomic Medicine in Pediatrics, exploring transformative approaches to pediatric diagnostic advancement.

This seminar will explore how nurses drive healthcare innovation through frontline insights and collaborative partnerships to develop patient-centered solutions.

11:00am - 5:00pm: The CTIP Symposium is where distinguished industry leaders will deliver strategic insights through panels addressing The Last Mile Problem: Getting Pediatric Devices in Hospitals, DME Catalogs, the Patient Experience, Regulatory Pathways, Investment Strategies in Pediatrics Beyond Venture Capital, and Licensing and M&A. Our symposium also features a portfolio showcase, strategic networking opportunities, and concludes with closing remarks and a networking reception.
