KelleyElahi, MSE, BSN, RN, CPN serves as Innovation Portfolio Director, combining engineering expertise with clinical nursing experience in global health innovation.

Kelley has established herself as an accomplished leader in global health through her innovative engineering work and clinical expertise. As a design engineer at MTTS in Hanoi, Vietnam, she developed an infant continuous positive air pressure (CPAP) device and LED-based phototherapy device for jaundice treatment. She helped establish neonatal intensive care units with this equipment in 11 hospitals across Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines, and India.

Kelley has led engineering teams and managed multiple global health technology development projects. Her internationally recognized work includes 5 peer-reviewed publications and 8 oral presentations, including at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.

Witnessing dire circumstances in low-resource hospital wards inspired Kelley to combine nursing training with her engineering background to provide comprehensive care. Her goal is bridging nursing and engineering perspectives to connect users and engineers effectively.

Currently a Registered Nurse at Ann &Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago, Kelley continues developing as a leader at the intersection of nursing, biomedical engineering, and global health.
