LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - February 6, 2023 The West Coast Consortium for Technology & Innovation in Pediatrics (CTIP) is pleased to welcome Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago into the consortium. CTIP Director and Principal Investigator Juan Espinoza, MD, recently became the inaugural Chief Research Informatics Officer for Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute and Associate Director of the Center for Biomedical Informatics and Data Science at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. In this new role, he will direction-set for the research institute’s Quantitative Science pillar, providing expertise and strategic guidance of research informatics and analytics as applied to basic, translational, clinical, and population health sciences. Dr. Espinoza will continue to serve as Director and PI of CTIP.

CTIP is an FDA-funded pediatric MedTech accelerator centered at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and has a network of children’s hospitals, academic institutions, accelerators and incubators to support the commercialization of pediatric medical devices. Their goal is to facilitate the development, production, and distribution of pediatric medical devices by identifying companies working in the space and providing advice, networking, and direct and indirect financial support on the road to commercialization.
